1978 Topps Baseball #16 - Roy White


  • Roy White was no longer the everyday left fielder for the Yankees in 1978. White played in 103 games, the fewest since 1967. Roy had a good September, batting .337 to help the Yankees come back from a large deficit to take the AL East title.

    • July 23 - Went 3 for 4 with a run scored in  New York's 3-1 win over the Chicago White Sox
    • Sept 5 - Hit a 3-run homer in the fourth inning to lead the Yankees to a 4-2 win over the Detroit Tigers
